The forex market has been forever the private domain of hedge funds, multinational corporations, global banks, and
wealthy private investors the world over. This all cahnged a few years ago when the Internet based technological
revolution of online trading spread over to the forex markets. Today, individual traders and investors all over the world
are discovering the excitement of trading the forex markets.
Let me make this clear, forex markets can be one of the fastest and most volatile markets to trade. You can make money or
lose money in a matter of seconds or minutes. Currencies can display significant trends lasting days to weeks and even
years.
Contrast this to the stock markets, which are more familiar and relatively intuitive to investors in the USA, the forex
market somehow remains more elusive and seemingly complicated to newcomers.
If you are an active trader looking for alternatives to trading stocks or futures, the forex market may be for you.
Online trading innovations have made it accessible, both technologically and financially.
But gaining access to the forex market is only the beginning. Just because you have the keys to a Formula One race car
does not mean you are able to compete at Le Mans.First, you have to understand how the car works. Then you need to learn
some of the tactics and strategies the pros use. Then you have to get behind the wheel and practice, develop your skills,
instincts, and tactics as you go. To succeed in the forex market you are going to have to do the same. You have to have a
plan.
The military has an old saying: "Proper planning prevents piss-poor performance." The forex market is always open and
constantly moving. To swim in this ocean and avoid the sharks you need an organized and disciplined approach.
The advantages of trading Forex are obvious:
* Low Startup - You can start with as LOW as $50!
* Huge Market - $3 TRILLION traded around the world every day (Actually, the Forex market is bigger than ALL the
world stock, bonds, and futures markets combined!)
* 24/5 - Non stop action, 24 hours a day 5 days per week (Monday through Friday)
* Volatile - The most volatile market in the world...what does that mean? HUGE opportunity every moment of the day
* Low Cost - While with stock trading, futures and options you pay spread plus commission, with Forex your only "cost
of trade" is spread (that can add up to ALOT!)
* No Cornering - Unlike any other markets, it is IMPOSSIBLE to corner the Forex market....and, no matter how many
people trade with the same robot its efficiency and profitability will remain intact (HUGE plus)!
* Up & Down - Profit from rising and falling prices...you don't care which way the market goes. Ohhh...and, unlike
with the US stock market, you don't have to wait for an up-tick for shorting!
* No Size Limit - Trade as BIG or as SMALL as you want! This is something that ONLY the Forex market allows you.
But you need a plan and the resourses to pull this off.
